Opening Ceremony of the Annual Event at Suttawas Temple

Phra Ratcha Sarasophon, the Deputy Chief Monk of Chonburi Province and Abbot of Wat Chaimongkol, a royal monastery, along with Phra Maha Thaworn Thanavaro, Ph.D., the Chief Monk of Bang Lamung District and Abbot of Wat Suttawat, jointly presided over the opening of the annual fair at Wat Suttawat. They were joined by Mr. Sontaya Kunplome, former Minister of Culture, and Mr. Winaith Inphitak, Mayor of Pattaya City, who lit incense and candles to worship the Triple Gem and listened to the chanting of Buddhist scriptures during the opening ceremony of the annual fair at Wat Suttawat. The temple invites Buddhists to visit the annual fair from March 1-9. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be used to fund the construction of a four-story kuti (monk's residence) to provide accommodation for monks and to continue the propagation of Buddhism.
